The SoftMat is about twice the size of a normal Yoga mat. The Softmat is 4 feet wide and 6 feet long. The mat is reversible. One side of the mat has a stiffer, more durable padding; the other side is softer, and more plush. We mainly use this mat at home (you'd get some strange looks at the studio). It's great all round mat for Yoga, Pilates or other workouts. We really like it for Power Yoga because it's soft, but stiffer that a traditional yoga mat. It's also great as a pad for sit ups, and jump rope.
